PopLedge

The PopLedge Brand was set up in September 2010 by Sarah Hamilton.

Sarah has always been interested in popular culture from an early age, her first major interests were Boyzone and Lord of the Rings, harbouring many years wishing she could either be an elf or marry Stephen Gately.  After realising that neither was possible Sarah moved onto a major interest in the world of pop music, ‘I wouldn’t miss a week of the top 40, I loved the charts and the trivia/facts surrounding them’ comments Sarah.

Hence her most natural first website was launched: PopLedge - http://popledge.tumblr.com/

PopLedge currently averages at about 8,000 unique visitors per month generating  12,000 page views.

Direct traffic accounts for around 55% of visitors with the rest being generated from social media.

PopLedge has it’s own twitter account here http://twitter.com/#!/popledge and also it’s own YouTube channel here http://www.youtube.com/user/popledge which are also associated with ‘PopLedge Plus’….

PopLedge Plus launched in August 2011 - it aims to cover a wider range of topics but again following the popular culture thread that runs through all PopLedge sites.  Plus is an avenue for news about movies, TV series but also fashion and beauty featuring tutorials and demonstrations linked to original ideas/photos and videos.

PopLedge is affiliated with Radio Creme Brulee and CATT both situated in the US.

PopLedge is also now a team of two with Matty R providing a general support role to Sarah and also bring his expertise in for TV and Movies on PopLedge Plus.
