Whitney Houston, whose Grammy-winning, chart-topping career was derailed by drug abuse and a troubled personal life, has sadly died at 48. The terrible news was announced by her publicist, Kristen Foster. No further details were immediately available. More will follow in the morning… Whitney was working on a new film project called ‘Sparkle’ due for release this September (http://popledge.co.uk/tag/whitney-houston/) however she had raised concerns recently as she appeared ‘worse for wear’ after a night out.
